Ive been out of the game for a long time, but the Zapco ADSP-Z8 IV is a pretty sweet piece.
It has 8 channels, but you can bridge them.
Im using it in six channel mode. Two channels at 4 ohms for fullrange drivers (80 watts each), two channels at 2 ohms for midbass (120 watts each) and the rest of the channels bridged (240 watts x 2 at 4ohms each for a total of 480 watts on a sub).
Nice specs, really small footprint (8.57"x9"x2"), a lot of inputs (high/low level, rca aux, toslink, bluetooth).

That Zapco piece looks really nice for a compact one and done solution.

A pair of those Zapco ADSP-Z8 IV-8 was my original plan for my wife's Mazda 6. Now with the Helix V Twelve on the horizon, that is now the plan. Simplifying to a single DSP solution just makes way more sense. If Zapco were to release an ADSP-Z8 IV-12 (or 16) I wouldn't hesitate to go that route, either.

Re: Best 6 channel SQ amp options

If you want an even more compact amp with similar DSP I/O, slightly less power, plus bridging on channel's 5/6 and/or 7/8 and line outputs for channel's 7 and/or 8 when 5/6/7/8 are bridged. The Arc Audo PS8-50 is a great choice too. Been running it for a longtime now. We love it. OEM integration is killer.

    Specs:

    ARC Audio DSP Amplifier 8x50W 4ohms, 8x100W 2ohms

    PS8-50
The PS8-50 is an incredibly compact 8-channel amplifier that boasts the full suite of Pro-Series signal process in a compact chassis that will fit under the seat or in a storage compartment in almost any vehicle. Each channel of the PS8-50 will deliver up to 100 Watts of power and pairs of channels can be bridged to deliver an impressive 200 watts into a 4-Ohm Load. Finally, as the heart of an elaborate 4-way system, the PS8-50 includes a pair of stereo outputs that can drive an external amp while channels 5 and 6 of the processor are used in a bridged configuration to power a mid-bass driver or similar application that required large amounts of power.

The Arc is also a really nice piece. I've heard Brian Mitchell's car using that DSP amp and it sounds awesome! (YMMV)

The Arc does have a smaller footprint with single sided connections, but overall volume is a little larger than the Zapco.

Ben Z ran the Zapco at finals in his Durango. Impressive for sure.
