    SQOLOGY Aggieland Questions

I have been looking at attending a SQ event this year as a visitor and feel this one might be the ticket. However, I have no idea what to expect, as I haven't been to such a show before. I was planning to fly in/out of Houston, so I can catch a few Astros games too. I had a few questions I was hoping someone who's attended the show before can answer.

Is there a recommended day to attend (sat or sun)?
How many guests attend in a day?
    Whats parking like for visitors?
Should I consider spending the night in College Station?
What is the drive like from Houston to College Station?
Can a pasty zamboni driver from Canada survive the weather at that time?

Honestly, any tips or potential pitfalls would be welcomed. This is just an initial feeler, but it seems like a doable trip. Baseball and SQ competitions = Happy blockrocker!

Thanks gents! I was not expecting this to be as tough of a decision as it has become. I really appreciate the information and I will have a choice made soon.....hopefully. ;-)

I will say this... I would love to go to Aggieland or SVR. I don't really think you can go wrong with any of the shows. All the cars are great. The guys there are always down to demo, chat, help. There's so much cross-pollination so you get a lot of the same guys attending at least two of the events, as well. The indoor ones are just a bit better for an out-of-towner because it would suck if it rained the whole weekend you were there.

True about inside the car. Most of us would just start the car to run AC. Didn't think about that. I don't disagree why they don't have it late fall/winter/early spring in the South.

Should be able to go again this year.

Easy with that hammer there cowboy
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

It's official!! I am Aggieland bound. Flights and hotel locked and loaded. I'm probably only going to do the Saturday in C.S. but I plan on renting a car, so I will have lots of flexibility. Thank you to everyone for all the great suggestions and I hope to check out each of the other shows another year. In fact, if I can convince my wife that she would enjoy Louisville in October, finals may still be on the table this year. Its a long shot, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. ;-)

    I can't freaking wait!!!

Ha. I don't know whether to be disappointed or relieved. I guess I can leave the hair gel and one-liners at home.
