I wasn't referring to voluntary charity. One of the great things about this country. We give more to charities than all other countries combined

Of course they gave me the same thing every parent provides their children. Difference is my parents worked for everything they got and told me I had to do the same once I turned 18/got out of college. No more free room and board, food etc. Is it really a hard concept to understand to not rely on the gov't to provide for your survivability?
