While many that held their nose and voted for Trump (i.e. AGAINST Clinton) in 2016 might go on to vote FOR him in 2020, how many more such folks might hold their nose and vote for Biden instead?
And as polarizing an individual as Clinton is, those opposed to Clinton in 2016 were nowhere near as fervent in their opposition as those opposed to Trump in 2020.
While it seems that the majority of Trump supporters - and even those like me that view Trump as merely "the lesser of two evils” - are predicting a Trump landslide victory, I honestly don't know what to think...
Anyway, as a matter of principle, since 1988 I have voted for the POTUS candidate I wanted to win - with just one exception: In 2016 I voted for Clinton (AGAINST Trump), primarily due to a daily dose of NPR that had led to a mild case of TDS. In the aftermath, however, while all those insane vitriolic TDS crybabies were losing their shit, I turned off NPR for good.
With the exception of only two POTUS elections ('08 Obama, '16 Clinton), I have always voted third party, no matter how small that candidate's chances of winning. As a matter of principle, I would not settle for the evil of two lessors, and virtually EVERYONE gave me shit for it... "You’re wasting your vote," they said... "You might as well vote for (insert greater-of-two-evils candidate here)," they said... "Supreme court, bla, bla, bla..." "Guns, bla, bla, bla..." "Drug War, bla, bla, bla... "Abortion, bla, bla, bla..." You get the picture.
And now I'm about to vote for the lesser of two evils again - the same POTUS candidate I voted AGAINST in 2016. SMH
