    Re: Hearing ?

I can hear somewhere between 14k-15k, so I voted on up to 12k.

    Re: Hearing ?

At age 37 my hearing rolls off at 16-17khz so I also voted up to 12k.
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

    Re: Hearing ?

Same. Around 16khz was my drop off. I even did it again and closed my eyes then opened them when I noticed the drop. By 17khz I couldn't hear anything.
    Meh, it'll play.

    Re: Hearing ?

I work at a pipe manufacturing plant, and every employee has to have annual hearing tests...I just had mine last month. The nurse always remarks that I have "baby hearing". A couple of years ago, she thought that I was just randomly hitting the button and getting lucky, so she went in and did manual tones. I passed with flying colors.

The downside is that my hearing is sometimes TOO good...like when I'm in a crowded restaurant, it's hard to drown out the noise and focus on one person speaking.

    Re: Hearing ?

    Voted "Up to 8 kHz."
Maximum of ~11.5 kHz with volume turned up, ~10.7 kHz at low volume, roll-off beginning ~9.5 kHz.
54 years old. Many years of metal fabrication and manufacturing, firearms, power equipment, motorcycles, etc. without hearing protection (finally learned my lesson three years ago with sudden onset of Tinnitus). Family history of hearing loss.
