Hey junkies - Really appreciate some help with audio setup!

Hey guys, I am completely clueless when it comes to car audio and would appreciate some/a lot of help.

So the audio system is for a Mitsubishi Colt. Boot space very very limited.

I'd like to get some amped components up front and a sub for bass in the rear.

Was going to go for these components, they have to be 13cm/5.25''

    Infinity Kappa 50.9cs

Now, I have no idea which amp I'd need to get the most out of these, a 4 channel for a sub as well? Or a 2 channel + a mono for the sub?

Regardless, any reccommendations for a sub and amp? and are these actually good components?

Thanks, budget for amp depends if I need 2? maybe 200$ tops and 200$ for sub, will this give me a good punchy system?

Regards, as I said absolutely clueless, any advice appreciated.

Thanks mate, will this setup be good enough you think? What about the components. Solid? Or other recommendations. Thanks

The NVX VAD10004 amplifier is going to run both , components and subwoofer.

The components are your choice , so if they make you happy ?

Pretty sure sub and amp will .

    Cheers mate !

Thanks bud. I didn't know if they were good quality/loud enough ect. Don't want anything to smash windows but nice and bassy with loud clarity up front ha.

I think the components @ 2 ohms along with sub @ 2 ohms will make you happy ( loud is great !)

Being dual voice coil (4 ohm) means when wired in parallel it will equal 2 ohm final load.

    • RMS Power Rating:
      • 4 ohms: 150 watts x 4 chan.
      • 2 ohms: 250 watts x 4 chan.
      • Bridged, 4 ohms: 500 x 2 chan.

Why would you run a sub at 2 ohms when the amp is only rated at 4 ohms bridged?

If burning up your amp makes you happy, then go right ahead.
