I have accounted for the port volume, bracing, sub displacement and all that. As far as which way the sub and port face, that is still not finalized.

Sweet Surfer J , taking the time to think it through !
Ideally , the opening will face in direction sub faces , if it has to face in a different direction , so be it.
In the event there were port noise, it might be best to aim port toward the rear of the vehicle.
Chuffing will be perceived in his cab , no matter which way the port is facing [ SPL may increase if he can build his box like a JL "Power Wedge" !
So how do I calculate my port length when using a 90 degree bend? Do I measure in the middle of the bend?
I plan to go with a 6” port. Where can I get the 90 degree bends?
Will pvc elbows from say Home Depot match up with the Precision Port kits?
Hardware store, plumbing supply... Assuming you're planning to use Precision Ports, you'll have to somehow adapt elbow fittings, as they don't make ells for their port kits ...in which case, I'd probably opt to build the whole vent system from PVC or ABS, and form my own flares (with a heat gun and form, for example) ...or go with passive radiator(s) ...or sealed.
