    Exclamation Donations for a veteran

First off, thank you to all of you who have given me support and advice over the years, helping me to even further enjoy this great hobby of ours and make some great friends in the process. I've learned an awful lot and have been able to build some semblance of installation and tuning skills mostly due to all of the great members who have dedicated time to share their experiences, post pictures and information and especially those who have taken time to personally guide me through my various builds and questions.

I was raised to believe that when much is given to you, it's expected that you give back in return or that you pass along that kindness by helping someone else. To that end, I'm asking for some assistance...
I have a 'friend' who is an injured military veteran who has served multiple tours. I do not agree with the strategy of our government and their use of our military, but I absolutely respect and admire those men and women that choose to put on the uniform to serve and protect us. This fellow deserves more than this guessture, but I would like to have a system installed in his vehicle and will be trying to raise some donations in addition to my own to facilitate this.

This 'friend' may visit this site on occasion, and I want this to be a surprise as he would be the type to humbly refuse an offer like this- Which is exactly why he deserves it.

My plan is to have an installation done by a professional and install/gear paid for by raising funds via donations (paypal) or donations of gear that can be either used or sold toward that goal. I'm starting with a list of my own things that are going up for sale. (listed below and will go in the classifieds). If you have something on the needed list and are interested in trading for some of my gear, we can work something out there too.

If you feel motivated to do so, your support would be appreciated. If not, I still thank you for reading and hope you'll stick around to see the progress.
Once the funds are raised, I will announce and put up details of who this is going to, who's installing and we will have progress pics and updates leading up to the delivery.

I'm working to get some pricing for installation and here is what is needed install-wise:

    1. Processor (8 channel)
    2. Amplifiers
    3. Power wire
    4. Speaker wire
    5. Power Distribution Captainobvious
    6. Fuse/Circuit breaker
    7. Cash- Captainobvious ,AL9000(Al), 69Voltage(Mike), ImJustJason (JasonH), Tim B, Benny (ben R), Hic (Kevin), ????

Paypal donations can be sent to: smokey@worldlynx.net
Please put the forum name, your screen name and your first name in the comments so I know who to credit and thank.

    Re: Donations for a veteran

Exciting news! I'm getting some manufacturer/vendor support on this project!

I'll post more details once they are sorted out.

In addition, The donations are coming in, and I want to thank you guys and gals for anything you can help out with. We have raised just over $200 in paypal donations alone. Lets keep this thing rolling!
