    A 2nd harmonic is probably pleasing to the ear, and makes the speaker sound more full and lively. Even-order harmonics can be pleasant. 1% is below audible threshold for many in a perfectly quiet room. In a car I bet we could push that to 3-4% even-order.

    And then add in tube amps with its second harmonics. It may sound pleasing, but is it more accurate?

    But i think I get your point that in a car the lowest of distortion speakers is probably a waste.
