    Help with new system

I am looking at a new complete system. I have a brand new 2018 Hyundai sonata sport 4 door. Here is what has been suggested.

Focal utopia m 3 way using the 8wm instead of the 6.5 woofer for front doors

Focal K2 power 6.5 coaxial kit EC165k for rear fill in rear doors

Either 2 Jl audio 12W7 subwoofers or 2 Jl audio 12W6 version 3 subwoofers. I want sealed not ported.

    If I use the 2 -12W6 sub's I'd use
2 jl audio VXI 1000/5i using the sub channel of each amp to power one 12w6.
Jl audio DRC-205 sub controller - has a knob so I can add sub volume
Jl audio vxi hub - hooks up the DRC-205 for tuning and controlling the subs tuning

If I use 12w7 I'd use Evo 3000.1D amp ( I know it seems cheap but was told they use them often with no problems. Each W7 needs 1000 watts. Then the Jl audio Xd 800 V2 to power the vocals.

Either a mosconi 8 to 12 DSP or the Hertz Pro.

I had one shop suggest the Morel components

What do you guys think. I've read that the W2 don't sound as good as the W6 . it moves air and sounds floppy .

Please help me. I want to say don't recommend something cheap because of price.

    Re: Help with new system

I’ve listened to both the W6 and W7 both sealed and thought the W6 had a better more accurate sound to it but these subwoofers were also in different vehicles with different tunes so not apples to apples there. I’ll let someone with more experience chime in. Free bump.

Yes, the W7 I heard I guess had a muddy sound if that is what you call it.

Are you aware of dial back power feature for protection of amp ?

It should be enjoyable ! Tuning is the difference good and Great.

    Re: Help with new system

If you like tight bass with more initial kick I think the W6 would be better. If you want more low end boom then the W7.

Personally, regardless what you go with, I'd drop the two VXI 1000/5i. Tuning 2 VXI would be an overly complicated setup.

Get a Helix Pro MKII or the Mosconi 8x12 and then your option of 2 amps is wide open. You can do 8 channel + 1 mono or 2x 5 channel or 2x 6 channel. It would be a more flexible setup and easier to tune on a single device. Plus the Mosconi or Helix is a better DSP than JLs

One amp option could be two of the
    mmats hifi 6150d (4 x 150 Watts RMS @ 4 ohms + 1000 Watts RMS @ 1 ohm mono)
