SEM anything is the best. I'm being serious when I say if it doesn't turn out nice, you did it wrong. There is a different primer for different surfaces. They have prep/paint videos for every surface. Obviously some are interchangeable but they are a good quick watch.

You shouldnt be spraying any paint or coating directly to plastic. You should be properly prepping it first. With most plastics i use the sem xxx adhesion promoter or a primer that is made for that substrate
