Nope. I chose free shipping to save $7 and change. Don't have Prime. It will be here in the next week. Unless the Pioneer in the dash can access the list through the usb and control it that way I don't think I will be able to safely use it in the truck at least while driving. Should serve my needs in the house, work, and gym nicely at least.
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

Update: My two items are coming down from Missouri via snail mail and said would be delivered November 5th. We'll see how long it really takes only being one state away. Most of the time the target date has been pushed out a few days to under-promise and over-deliver.

m5 came in today. Having to get used to it but I think it's gonna work out for my needs mostly. Touch screen is pretty responsive once you get the hang of it. And it said it had a 5 band eq in it. Well, it has a lot of presets but no manual eq like what was stated. Not THAT big of a deal because it sounds so much better than my Sandisk. Never thought these $10 earbuds I use and abuse could sound this good. One question though...do I need to download the usb dac driver off the website to plug in and use it in the truck via usb? When I tried it originally the sd card ended up with a lot of Chinese mumbo jumbo on it and had to reformat it. But logically speaking I wouldn't want to use it in the truck if I can't pull up the list though the headunit. It's just not safe and think flash drives would be the better way to go because the list is on the screen in the dash.

First night of use at work and the m5 performed FLAWLESSLY for all 6 hours or so it was used. Sound is nice and smooth and not laggy at all in menu response. And never once "woke up" when I didn't want it to while it was shifting around in my pocket while moving around constantly. I know a few of us were concerned that the touchscreen on this little player might be too small for our European style fingers but I didn't get that feeling at all. The line spacing seems to be just enough to where fat fingering is rare at least for me. The swiping motions needed to navigate this things takes some dialing in and getting used to. Nothing really negative to say about it. The lack of manual eq isn't an issue for me with the wired earbuds I use. I listen with the eq off because none of the presets sound as good as no eq at all to my ears. Still don't understand why it states it has a 5 band eq but there's no manual eq to be found unless the presets were dialed in with 5 bands at the factory.

Hey, good to hear! Man, for $99 and the good things you say about it and the fact it has coax output, this little thing could be an excellent source for any vehicle. It would be the tiniest hi-res headunit imaginable!

Figured out the battery life. About 9-10 hours with wired buds at a moderate volume. Not enough to get me through two shifts at work but enough for one shift and a good workout.

Change your work schedule so it fits within the battery life of the DAP!

Seriously, that is a pretty good battery life... My Fiio x5 claims 8-10 hours, I don't get even close to that maybe 3-4.

Makes me wonder if when the battery does kinda start to go in my old gen2 X5, what to do.

If you use your dap in the car a lot I wouldn't want something as small as the m5. That thing would be a nightmare for daily use like that whereas something the size of an x5 would be a nightmare for bulk in the pocket the way I use a dap at work and gym.

To connect to usb through the headunit do you download the app from fiio onto the dap somehow to do it? I'm having a hard time figuring out how this needs to be done.
