I'm in the IT field and I've refused to even create a Facebook account (or Twitter, or any other "social media" platforms). I really have no interest and from what I've seen (my wife uses Facebook a little), Facebook isn't even a great platform for something like a car or car audio forum. Not much "organization" of information, from what I've seen.

I absolutely hate how some companies use Facebook as their "primary" way of communicating with the public (new products, general news, etc). In those cases, it really limits their visibility to people like me - that is what official company websites are supposed to be used for!!

Naw... I am also in IT and have NO FB. I finally just last month setup my Linked In account strictly for work/career opportunities! I also don't get into the whole social media thing, but I understand the new generation feels right at home with it so its all good. I also would prefer the Forum format.
