Re: my 2012 mk6 gti build

drove out to arkansas last week. got 4th in meca extreme class, 9th overall. maybe one day i'll try my hand at iasca and/or emma.

i'd listened to 1st and 2nd place cars at CA state finals, knew my car couldn't hold a candle to them. i also heard good things about the 3rd place car, so i expected to get 4th.

it was nice seeing everyone though, hearing some new systems too

    Very nice!

I bet your interior was very dirty after a long trip like that...

the venue was a livestock/4h hall at a fairgrounds, complete with livestock smells and "content" on the floor.

my car aired out by monday but i wanted to ensure there was no "content" in the carpet/floormats/seats/etc. it's been a year, but i fed the interior through the mytee lite hot water extractor - https://youtu.be/bXoptZ8ZG20

a buddy sent me a set of these https://www.deepcyclesystems.com.au/...ive-terminals/

i wish the bolt keys were reversible but otherwise they make adding stuff pretty easy.

    i also picked up a fuzeblocks fz-1. https://www.fuzeblocks.com/Fuzeblock...Block_p_1.html

it's meant for motorcycles but any of the 6 outputs can be constant or switched. it's easy to change by between constant/switched by moving a fuse. i wish there were more than 6 outputs though. it's awesome for the size.

now it handles low-current stuff for for both dsps and all the remote turn-ons. it's left of the left sub. i had to remove the cover because it's too tall for this spot. however it's protected where it's at.

also replaced most of the zip ties with velcro cable ties.

We had a couple goals when we moved out to CA in 2014:

    - Wife finishing her undergrad and masters degree programs.
    - Save up to buy a house.

She finished all the school in December and I'm super proud of her

We also closed on a house Friday. While terrifying, we're excited.

    On to the next chapter!

i got my car a garage
