pla for a start as it’s all I have, thinking a 100% fill to allow strength around the captive bolts, that’s why I hollowed out the end sections which I extended after the fact... I may just alter it so the cover clips on before the final print

Are any of you with 3D printers selling anything? Looking to get a pair of baffles made that I can use with D-pillars. Not sure yet if it's possible, need to try and design something and decide what speakers to use back there (have a pair of Dayton RS75 that i think will work, but not sure if i want to use those yet).

    This and that

I'm missing the rear fill I had with the Audi, keep thinking of trying some in the Volvo but there's no stock locations that are any good (just the rear doors, which doesn't work all that well in my experience).

These are pretty good full range if you need something smaller. I had a guy on eBay, who I was happy with, design and make a cad file for those slides I had printed. If these guys can't help you.

Another project printing away... will take many weeks while i keep printing, changing and re-printing lol. It's just a protective case for my Surface Go 2 tablet. The white stuff is PLA. The orange stuff is TPU (softer material, something like synthetic rubber).

I have found the temperature limits of pla... warm days (for the U.K.) and I ended up with stick supporting my tweeter pods as they decided they didn’t like the angle they were at and were somewhat softened by the heat, the two screws I’d put in were a little bit loose... chocolate fire guard definitely sprang to mind I have now got some PETG which I printed with for the first time on Friday... I’ve not been to see how it turned out as yet, it’s sat awaiting me in the workshop at work as I type

Is that maybe also a function of thickness? If your walls were twice as thick maybe that helps avoid this?

That being said, this is a thermoplastic, and I know from a little vacuum forming experience that might just buy a little more time (equivalent to oven time)?

Is that a rating on these filaments?

I'm thinking of making some pods like these using 3D printing, and pretty much solid - but I did possibly want a tweeter in there like this (with a wider reflector above it actually)
I wouldn't want them melting, of course, the suspension height is important.
Maybe using more than one leg is wise...?
But is it an actual solution...?
