    Which would you prefer?

I posted this poll on a forum 10+ years ago and I'm curious to see if the consensus is still the same among mobile audio enthusiasts/hobbyists.

I'm assuming you mean during daily driving?

If it's a regular commute, I'll take likeable music any day. But if it's at a meet, I don't mind hearing some 'crappy to me' music if it showcases the vehicle's ability.

I'd rather hear something the way it is supposed sound. Whats the point of listening to something that sounds like crap?

Yes. I think most of us listen to well recorded music we may not necessarily like on occasion while demoing to really showcase a system but Im just wondering if many would choose a great tonality/soundstage/imaging system if the caveat was you could only listen to music you did not like.

    Re: Which would you prefer?

I'm not sure I follow. I like having a nice soundstage and tonality, etc., but at the same time, I like to have dynamic and sometimes in your face sound. I don't worry as much about "competition" style sound. So yes, I like to try to tune my car to be accurate, but I also like it how *I* like it... and I always found IASCA-style cars to be lacking in oomph, in punch, in power.

I'm not sure how that fits your question, because I don't think I really understand how you've phrased the answers - likely due to my own shortcomings, I have no doubt. lol

<edit> Ok, I went back and tried again - I chose the first option. I won't bother listening to music I don't like, no matter the system. Soundstage and imaging doesn't bother me so much, as long as there aren't glaring tonality issues - like horrible tuning or something. I don't really know how to answer. lol

F that. No thanks. I'll pass no matter HOW good it sounds, if I can only appreciate the "accuracy" and not actually enjoy the music.

That would be like being a "Zausmer", if you ask me.

If you mean pick one and stick with it forever, I would change my answer.
