    i tried just the batt and ground and it lit up for a second then turned off.

    Power and accessory would both need 12v, or else the radio will think the car is off.

    disc drive wont read discs but oh well haha cant watch dvds but ill manage. maybe itll work with the proper harness

    You'll probably have to hook up a parking brake wire in order to watch a DVD. It's a "safety feature" to ensure you don't watch movies while driving.
