That's a snazzy ride! I am digging the placement of everything, curious to see how you will integrate those tweeters.
    Are you not entertained?!?!

    Re: Nick's Citroen Xsara

A few weeks back, having just torn the Leon (my other car) into pieces to remove the whole system, I felt really sad. I thought I'd have a bit of fun trying stuff out in the Xsara with the L4SE's I had just taken out of the comp car.

This resulted in some more thinking and pondering. If you're like me (and if you're reading this you probably are) you'll know that this kind of thinking is bad for your wallet.

So, a few days later and after involving no less than 4 friends, two cars, 400klm and a tattoo shop (don't ask), I took delivery of this little thing:

... which is currently in my toolshop waiting rather reluctantly to be chopped up so it can fit a pair of tweeters and a pair of mids in the nicest possible way. Pods/A-pillars/mirror triangles will all play along as well.

    They are indeed dear sir!

And that's where we are right now. Or we would be, if my old friend the 7998R hadn't decided to give up spirit. So out it came.

And in its place went the Clarion.

...along with its friends, the massive DC/DC converter and the EA1251 iPod adaptor (I know, but I can't live without it since I use the car daily and commute a lot).

Man, it's been 3 years since I last used the HX-D2 (and back then it was only for a week or so), but every time it amazes me with its build quality. That volume pot gives you the impression it will withstand an atomic bomb.

So here we stand, I hope you like what I showed so far, and I can promise you that even if half the stuff I have in my head finds its way into completion, then it's going to be a rather interesting trip. It might take a while to get there though as I've been plagued with several issues as of late, both health and work related.

PS: the L4SE's won't fit like I'd like them to, and this car lacks the massive A-pillar my Leon had, so I'd like to trade them for a pair of L3SE's. If anyone knows anyone that would be interested, let me know.

Here's a pic of them in the Leon, by the way. The Leon has returned to stock and gone to Germany in order to be sold (so long fella).

I think displaying it publicly in your car violates indecency laws in some countries.
