    Soundstream Synthesis

    http://soundstream.com/store/car-aud...synthesis.html

Supposedly made by Mini DSP for Soundstream. I downloaded the software and I can't think of anything else someone would need in a basic processor. It's available for $399 on Ebay.

    Anyone have experience with it?

So with 4 inputs it's somewhere between the 2x8 and the 8x8? It's more expensive that buying it directly from miniDSP, but you get a case and power supply with it. It might be worth checking out...especially since it's cheaper than any other car audio DSP.

This got gone over before, or another mini DSP powered unit... People were all twisted up emotionally because the software still said MiniDSP and they were calling it a rip off.... In addition to what Al said, it has I/O buffers, because we all know the MiniDSP input/output section leaves a LOT to be desired. So factor in the price of the MiniDSP, that much line driver, a case and a power supply... the deal seems to make some sense now.

Oh and preferably some end-user support will be included. The minidsp itself is more akin tot he Rapsberry-Pi type of car audio crowd.

I wonder if this one is compatible with REW the same way the mini units are. The ability to have REW automatically calculate busy ad filters and export the file directly to your parametric eq is an awesome feature! And can it process for rear fill and center channel applications (which I believe MiniDSP makes software for)?

It would be awesome if the MiniDSP plug ins were supported on the SS platform, THAT would make it a STEAL

It also have coax SPDIF in, now all they need to add is a bluetooth module and Android app to manage it from an indash tablet.

It shows digital inputs in the software manual, but in the wiring diagram of the same manual it only shows 4 analog inputs (either balanced or unbalanced). I know that the miniDSP has a sPIDF/Toslink add-on board that you can buy.
