Just my opinion, garages are for cars, storage buildings/sheds are for storing other stuff. Get one of the latter, put your cars in the former.

Not always a choice. IE, my HOA doesn't allow any separate external structure. It would have to be approved as an extension of the house and look original. $$$$

F**k the HOA! If they're not making the payments, they're not making the decisions! A lot of them also have rules against leaving cars parked outside the garage.

Looks good. I have a similar color in my garage. He is my advice. Get a big magnet for when you drop a silver bolt or screw....nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find

I agree, eff HOAs. Which is why I won't ever submit to one, which means I won't ever live somewhere where they have one.

Now, if you're sadly in a position where those efftards have power over you, I'm truly sorry. It won't ever happen to me.

No HOA for me, but I do have plans to build some cabinets to better organize. That's why I went with such and oversized garage, for storage AND work space

Looking forward to the updates, the floors looking great.

No HOA here either 🙂 currently waiting for the county to approve my application for a detached shop in the back yard.

I live in city suburbia not country. I'd much prefer HOA. City/suburb neighborhoods without HOA always look like shit as people aren't required to maintain their homes or put up whatever structure or vehicle in their yard they feel like. I'll give up being able to put a shed in my backyard for that.

How tall are those ceilings Alan? I wish I had the room for more vertical storage.

Interchangeable in my book. It's just semantics. Most of us have to use our "garages" as partial "storage" to some capacity.

12 feet total, 8’ walls on top of a 4’ block knee wall

After the excess chips were removed and clear coat applied, it looks even better
