Well, we got up 3 walls today...it was hot as balls today (95º with 87% humidity). Getting 2x6 walls up onto 4' stem walls took some trial and error, but we're now on to straight framing. Now that it's partially done, i can get a sense for how big the space is...and it's effin huge (that's what she said). I now have walls that would make Donald Trump proud.

This post is worthless without pictures.

Due to sweltering heat and rain delays, they didn't get it closed in, but it's coming along. Pics don't do it justice in regards to the amount of space. I couldn't be happier

It's funny, the guys left their trailer here...so rather than trying to dodge it while backing in, I dust drove straight in and did a 3-point turn inside the garage

How big of a section of wall at a time did you guys raise up on to the block? Looks like that would be quite a chore. There's nothing wrong with plenty of room.

Well, the first section was the one to the left, and it was 30' long...so basically it was like 3 guys lifting a 10' section individually. We nailed wood blocks on the rimplate to keep it from sliding off the back, lifted the footer up onto the block, then started tilting up the header in increments using different lengths of support sticks. After that, we just decided to break the walls up into 2 or 3 sections and use a nice straight top late to align everything.
