    3"-4" a pillar speakers

I have been looking at these to put in the a pillars with my tweeters, but I don't know how many watts it will take to keep up or overpower the door speakers or tweeters. I will be running 90 watts to each door, and have that much available for each tweeter, and 250 to the subs (Zapco 5 ch. amp).

When I look at 3"-4" midrange or midbass or full range speakers, most take from 25 to 40 watts RMS, except for HAT, Focal, and Hertz, which are outrageously expensive. I'm thinking I will end up with 8's in the kick panels, 6.5, doors, 3 or 4" a pillar, plus tweeters, and subs. Should I get a smaller wattage 4 channel amp for the a pillar and tweets, and run the kicks and doors off my current amp? How many watts per channel will it take for the a pillar to keep up, since the speakers will be up top?

Thanks for everyone's help with everything so far!

You could consider a Zapco four channel amp from the same line as your five channel, bridge the five channel to midbass, and use the four channel to power tweeters and midranges.
    Are you not entertained?!?!

An 8" midbass and a 3 or 4" mid should work together without the 6.5 in the door. If you made that a 3 or 4" coax, or use a passive crossover between the mid and tweet, you could use the amp you have by itself.

That's true ^^^ and wouldn't necessitate an, "active" head unit per se. A decent radio or amplifier should be able to crossover up around 220-250Hz, which would be perfect point for an 8" midbass to 4" coax.
    Are you not entertained?!?!
