Re: Slow basic fairly low budget build
Too much power maybe the problem, drop you gains to minimum those should be 100% comfortable at those frequencies

Re: Slow basic fairly low budget build
Thank you, I believe you are correct. I had the gains all the way down on highs & only slightly above minimum on mids, but after a few more hours of play time I may have slight bit of distortion from the right mid. That or I'm hearing shit, may well be in the market for some replacements

How well sealed are the doors?

Aside from the window seal, drain holes, & holes for door panel to attach, it's pretty well sealed.

Maybe choking the mids if they require or are designed for IB like I think the JBL's are.

Re: Slow basic fairly low budget build
Any thoughts on swapping these for the jbl's in the doors, Peerless 830875 Nomex HDS? or other possible options under $150 or so a pair?

Re: Slow basic fairly low budget build
I'd been eyeing the Anarchy prior to getting the jbl's. That was at full price, guess I can hardly lose at nearly half off. I have almost 3" clearance in the door & 1 3/4" thick baffle is what I've got currently. Only problem I could see is I've only got 23-25mm above the mounting surface. I could always take the difference off the baffle thickness if they made contact at full excursion.
Anyone heard or used these personally? I've had poor past experiences with alum coned mids, but really only at higher frequencies then I'd likely run these at
