MECA "The Vinny": July 12th @ Lebanon, TN

Anyone planning on making this one?

I know a couple people from out of town are coming (I'm looking at you, Robert). I talked to Mark Eldridge about it and he said he'll be there with his NASCAR for the first time.

This usually shapes up to be one of the larger events of the year, even though it's smack in the middle of Summer.

To top it off, it's going to be a 4x event. With the likes of Eldridge coming, if you can make it, do it.

That 4x part is a mistake as I recall. Kevin asked Stern about it over a week ago and he said the meca site is wrong... and they still haven't changed it...

as in interesting side note, the url for the rules on that flyer is not only mispelled, but doesn't work (as stated or with correct spelling)

It's only a 3 pointer. Once click details the surround goes orange and the flyer says triple pointer.... I sent another message to Stern about the misleading color coding.

do they even have 4x shows or is that all just a goof? I wouldn't be surprised if it were the latter...

I was there in body, but not quite in spirit. I don't know if it was the heat, or my lack of sleep...but I just wasn't really into it this time around. It was great seeing everybody again...that at least made it worth the trip.


Kelly (or is it Kelley), did you get the curve figured out in REW? Knowledge like that would make a good tutorial

It's Kelly. Yes, the heat was miserable and the brief rain storms just made it that much more humid when the sun came back out. But all in all I had a great time.

John got the house curve dialed in for me before he left so now I just have to use it and make sure I understand it.
