    Stuck on a decision

Hey guys. I've read high and low around the interwebs about pros and cons about either audiocontrol or jl audio when it comes to their gear. I've got a build I'm planning right away and I'm really stuck on what I want to put in for summing/EQ etc.

    Vehicle:
    2013 F150 FX4 Eco with Sony System

    Build items:

    2- Kenwood Excelon KFC-XW1000F subs
Kenwood Excelon XR1800P comps for front
Kenwood Excelon XR1800 coaxial for rear
    Kenwood Excelon XR900-5 amp

Here's the thing I'm stuck on. Because of the signal summing, poor EQ and all that jazz, I need someone to CONVINCE me why I should go:

    Audiocontrol LCQ-1 or DQ-61

    Or

CL-SSI and CL441 DSP with some sort of equalizer.

I really need convincing because I'm gonna have this truck awhile and I want a great system. And just so you know, both these options are in the budget.

Trying not to have a brand battle or anything, I'm just looking for input.

    Thanks.

    Re: Stuck on a decision

CL441 DSP - CleanSweep OEM Audio Interface with Automatic Digital EQ, 4 ch. Inputs + L-R Aux Inputs / 4 ch. Outputs.

Unlike primitive line-output converters that only reduce the level of factory audio signals, the CleanSweep® CL441dsp employs a powerful DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to automatically analyze the frequency response of a full-range factory audio signal and then applies 30 bands of powerful equalization to each channel. This counteracts any factory equalization and provides a clean, flat signal for your aftermarket amplifiers and speaker systems to sound their best. You can use your factory volume control(s) or the included Master Volume control when listening to the factory source unit.

    Re: Stuck on a decision

I've used both the Cleansweep and an AudioControl LC8i to try and retain the factory head unit n a 2010 Dodge Ram. Both had their pros and cons, but to me, the Cleansweep provided the best sound once I had it all set up.

Since those pieces are in your budget, why not the PPI DSP-88R or Soundstream Harmony? Both of those also provide high level inputs, but then allow you a much broader tuning capability once hooked up.
    Are you not entertained?!?!

I'll look into them. Any thoughts on the Fosgate 3sixty?

i was looking into using one in my last car but they seem to be riddled with issues, seems like the people without issues really like the 3sixty though

    Re: Stuck on a decision

I've had a 360.3 for a couple of years now and I am happy with it.

Zero issues unless I left the car battery voltage get way too low during tuning and bricked it a couple of times. Lesson learned finally and I keep the battery charger hooked up during lengthy tuning.

    Re: Stuck on a decision

I assume you are using the stock head unit? Or do you already have an aftermarket one? If you are willing to replace it, that might be the easiest way to go. Just get one with integrated features that you want.

I didn't yet. I'm still not convinced. I may just try lcq-1 to start and go from there. Not sure how in depth I want to go with this system.
