Jordan's semi-portable boombox

Well, I decided I wanted to make a little boombox/stereo for use at my new place. I plan to make an enclosure for a pair of Pioneer TS-D1602r 6.5" coaxials out of 1/2" wood and wrap it in carpet. I will mount a computer power supply inside the enclosure as a power source, and will use a Kinter MA-500 as the source of sound for the whole system.

I decided to change it up a bit and put the coaxials in their own individual sealed sections with a CDT 6.5" mid in a ported section tuned to 50-60hz

I also decided to mount the power supply externally, will be much easier to service if there is ever a problem with it. For aesthetics and the sake of simplicity I will be mounting a 4 pin molex plug which I can hook into with any computer power supply.

Got the sides, top, bottom, back, and dividers all screwed and glued together today, and holes cut out for the speakers. Finally getting this done! Hoping to have it almost completely done tonight.

As of right now it is done other than carpeting, which will be taken care of later.

It sounds awesome! I played a couple songs but wasn't able to really crank it as it was getting late. For the little bit that I got to listen to it, though, I am very impressed.
