2004 E55 AMG first SQ build

This all started when I replaced my factory blown speakers with some infinity kappas. Someone talked about powering the speakers with an amp and it had me curious. I started browsing the net and came across the Build Log/Threads and here I am today.

    Goals -
    maintain the factory headunit
keep amp rack tucked away in the trunk under the rear shelf
basically going for a stealth build

I don't want to give away too much yet so I will update as I receive the parts.

I would like to thank TheDavel (Dave) from Elite Auto Salon for helping me with parts, tech support, customer service and everything else. He is DEFINITELY a great guy to have in the community. Without Dave, I would still be trying to figure things out.

running new speaker wires in the front door. Not as hard as I was thinking.

Backside of the passenger side connector

Being ran across to the driver side where it will meet the bundle from the drivers door and head back (got the idea from Bing on the Utilitarian SQ wagon built. Thanks Bing)

Here is a teaser of the DRC controller Dave took care of for me. He integrated it into the cigg lighter/cubby compartment.
Completed version looks Awesome! which some of you may have seen on here.

So of course I will be using a Audison Bit Ten D, going 2-way active

And last picture will be my subwoofer of choice...Illusion Audio C12 slim. It is currently with Speakerpimp (Rick) at cartoys as he makes some rings for it. I will be dropping my car off the 28th for him to do the fiberglass trunk enclorsure.

It's a username I've been using since forever. Didn't want to change it now.
