Re: Son of Joe F150 Build Log

Going with a NIB set of CDT 6.5'' comps I've had in the closet for ages.

Forgot to snap a pic of mids before I installed door panel, so here's a random shot of tools. Can you find the Fluke?

Tweets installed, props to Ford btw for designing panels that cover a majority of the mid.

Will post more soon, thanks for looking.

I always hated those 2 piece door panels from ford, even though they are much easier to take on/off.

He's riding with a 10 AND a 2! I understand the 10 but why does he need the 2? Does she go get ice cream?

Thanks Clay, my goal is teaching him some basics and allow him to take lead on the next one.

After searching for an image to explain "10 and 2", I've learned the standards have changed. Before airbags in steering wheels, this is the position we were taught growing up.
edit- Now I get the joke...I've always been a little slow. :oI will leave the diagrams up for educational purposes in case we have any youngins drop by.

Got a chuckle when I saw this.

Taking a break from the audio portion, it's time to address the faded handles and latches on both doors I mentioned earlier.
India ink is cheap and most importantly, on hand.

Not bad, may apply a second coat and buff later.

Hands free mic perched on visor.

Sub wired up and box stuffed.

Mounted and ready to go to work.

Bonus easter egg find while running wire.

Pretty cool you are helping out to get him in the right direction. Clean up is coming along nicely too! That steering wheel hand chart is great lol

Eeeer this is probably a stupid question but... Doesn't that ink fade/transfer onto the hands/fingers?

Very nicely done so far and I'm sure it's only going to get better.
