2007 CTS-V build finally complete! Pic heavy
I finally finished my install. I started three months ago, took my time, learned a lot, and know what to do differently next time. For now, here's what I have. I hope to start tuning it this week.
One thing I improved but not pictured was the sound deadening on the doors. I ended up completely covering the window motor and space behind the door control module with CLD. The plastic liner was vibrating against the back of the door panel before I completely sealed it up.
I am waiting on magnets to be delivered so I can attach the grills I printed to the woofers. I am also planning to have an acrylic grill made to go over the sub .
Excuse the cracked windshield. It formed from a chip while it was sitting in my driveway.
Stock nav head unit
Digital SPDIF cable run to DSP for DAP (future)
CDT Audio ES-1200iS tweeters (A-pillar)
CDT Audio CRM-3K midranges (A-pillar)
CDT Audio CRM-6KcV woofers (doors)
Epik Dragon 18" subwoofer (a defunct home theater brand; excellent driver)
CDT Audio EX-30 passive crossovers (mid and tweet only; woofer is active)
Audio Dynamics DSP68
Arc Audio X2 1200.6
Knu Konceptz Kollosus, Krystal, and Klarity power, signal, and speaker cables
Knu Konceptz fuse holder
Enjoy the pics - good, bad, and ugly - and let me know if you have any questions or feedback.

So how does it sound? Are you happy with it? Also...holy huge driver Batman. That has got to be the deepest sub I've seen to date. Did you get the volume of the box to fit that driver?

So far I am very happy. I have not yet tuned it - hopefully this weekend. The box volume is a bit short of "optimum", but modeling in WinISD shows that I only lose 1-2 dB below 80 Hz with the volume I have. It is generously stuffed with polyfill, which should help. Overall I got about 2.75 cu ft after driver displacement, with optimum being 4 cu ft. I was worried about it being over 25% smaller, but the DSP will help with that.
One of the first tracks I played was Feel the Bass (DJ Magic Mike)... that shit was BONKERS!!!
