Seeking RF or WIRED remote car stereo ideas
All -
I have an old-school 19962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud LWB (limo) and I would like to install a car stereo which has either a WIRED remote control or a RF (Radio Field) remote control. As the stereo will be mounted in the lower dashboard, a IR (infrared) remote will not be suitable.
I am seeking feedback from some of the long-experienced car audio professionals on what stereo(s) had a RF or wired remote control/functionality. Ideally, it would be nice to have the modern satellite and bluetooth features in this car stereo, but I have to have a remote that can control the radio without line-of-site from the back seat of the car. If not a modern system, what old-school systems utilized either a wired or RF remote that I can search for used.
Any other feedback on this project would be helpful.
Thanks!

Most of the wired remotes used these days are marine based, so you may need to look there. Axxess did make an RF based remote https://axxessinterfaces.com/product/RFASWC that worked with a bunch of radios that had steering wheel control inputs, but I think they’ve stopped making it.
