Vacation fail - Zika sucks!

Yes... Zika. It's not the worst I've ever felt, it's not as bad as the true influenza or something, but it is a major annoyance. Achy all over, muscles AND joints, headaches, eye pain and conjunctivitis and a full body rash. The worst is the fatigue - it's extreme. Also not quick to bounce back...

So... despite my best efforts of keeping myself liberally-coated with mosquito repellent, I managed to get the virus. Luckily it's not something worse - for all it's in the news, if you're not pregnant, Zika isn't as bad as some of the others like West Nile or dengue fever.

But it will screw up your Caribbean vacation. lol

Damn Danny, that sucks, sounds like my luck, chillin in paradise and getting sick. Hope you recover fast! I once vacayed in the Appalachian mountains, almost drowned tubing a swelled river, then followed up with food poisoning a day later, lmao. Bad slaw is no gud.

I am a little better this morning... that seems to be my pattern, though. Some illnesses you're worse in the morning and it gets easier as you wake up and stretch out the kinks, etc. But for me, at least in this, I wear out badly as the day goes on. We had my son's birthday party on the beach yesterday evening and I had to have my wife take me back to the apartment after an hour or two because I was just dying. Today, though, not as much pain, a little more energy... hopefully it is a pattern that continues. Got today and tomorrow to enjoy some more island-time... then it's back to the grind.
