Ran across these today... Old School Nostalgia trip
Was trying to retrieve some stuff from photobucket today (don't even get me started) and ran across these photos of one of my old setups when I was selling it. Doesn't feel like it's been nearly 20 years! Thought you guys might also enjoy my trip down memory lane.
Had some of this equipment through a couple of vehicles in what seems like eons ago. Just looking at this stuff again sent a wave of nostalgia through me that I haven't felt before. I guess it's just the memories that go along with it as well as the first real SQ I owned and tuned myself.

Sorry for the bad quality pics but tech wasn't exactly great 17 years ago.... LOL
Don't miss that couch at all just for the record :)
Anybody else have feelings like this when you look back at your old stuff?! Sheesh man must be getting old.

I'm always a sucker for nostalgia! I have a quite a few pieces that are back from the late 80's and early 90's that I would love to install...but...

Are those glass tubes in that USAmps? Pic #7.
Very cool stuff!

I remember when most of that stuff was new so yeah getting old. Lots of really nice older stuff that was fairly new at the time I sold too cheap in order to fund the next forum boner I had to have and regret selling.

Yep... that was the original TU series by US Amps not the later AX series. Man that amp sounded great! Honestly, didn't sound "tube like" to me at all. Was just super detailed and dynamic. That and the ESX amps are really the only things I wished that I would have kept from this lot of gear.

For sure! It's funny to look back and remember when we had to have a wall of gear to get the tuning capability we've got in a device the size of a paperback book now. LOL

I remember those ESX amps...they were are dark gray or charcoal. I believe ZED designed as well?

Yep.... and heavy as hell. I think they were the best of Stephen's designs. Powerful as all get out and super clean. I do remember people saying they had noise issues with the quantum series but I never did at all.

Those subs are to often forgotten beasts! I'm about to do an install for someone else that has 2 15's.

Beast to say the least. I smoked two Boston Pro 12.5's one using the ESX Q275.2 and the other using the 1000x. That Kove never even came close to breaking a sweat when that 1000x was running it. That was an M Series Armageddon and the SQ in a large sealed box was spectacular.

Wow. Sony Mobile ES deck, nice! I've got the Mobile ES XES alphabet soup... the P1 Display, P1 Processor, X1 Crossover, C1 Changer & T1 Tuner. Believe it or else, they've never seen power :(
