Helix PC tools screen resolution
What screen res do you use?
Trying it on my Lenovo tablet and I just cannot see the full screen and there are no scroll bars. Tried maximise and all that but it just chops off the far right side.
What have you found is the ideal setting?

Re: Helix PC tools screen resolution
I'm using it on my MS Surface pro tablet, and it works and scales fine on that. A bit uncommon resolution on that tablet though:
Display |
12.3-inch Pixel Sense display
10 point multi-touch |
Display Resolution |
2736 x 1824 (267 PPI)
Aspect Ratio: 3:2 |
But there were some (beta) firmware updates in the past that had problems with scaling/resolution, what version are you using?
Re: Helix PC tools screen resolution
Version 4.77 from memory.
It’s fine on my old laptop but doesn’t seem to like the 16:9 ratio / 1080p output on the tablet.

Re: Helix PC tools screen resolution
i use a macbook pro w/ a retina display and a vmware fusion vm. it's a high-dpi screen according to windows.
rather than deal with windows 10's high-dpi scaling issues, i just set the VM's resolution to 1680x1050, 100% scaling. i avoid all kinds of weird shit by doing that.

Could be worth trying the most recent "approved" release instead of the newest beta-release. Looks like this is it:
Old Release (stable) – for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 (32 / 64 Bit)
Download: DSP PC-TOOL Version 4.73b
Release date: 11.12.2020
Beta releases are just that, meaning:
A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to try under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as a result.

4.75a was the latest release, pre beta, it was the first software released for the conductor so may have been superseded by 4.77b, and removed due to bugs or some other reason
i do have 4.75a if you require it si
Re: Helix PC tools screen resolution
Thanks all.
It’s more of an annoyance as it cuts off the far right side.
TBH using a touchscreen with the software isn’t much fun either so have had to dig out an old mouse.
May ditch the tablet and just use the old laptop :)

there's a touchscreen mode in the software, might make it a bit easier to use.

Haven’t found that yet - will try to find it.

Try changing from auto to one of the other settings here to see if it helps?
