I do trust Rockford's T/S parameters and xmax specs based on the fact that they do have the Klippel.
They do, and there's some neat history that goes with it. I created a new thread to stop distracting about the neat Illusion driver here.

The smaller basket is definitely welcome. Along with the more compact design, it looks like they traded a little efficiency for a bit more midbass punch. The previous version definitely preferred door and IB installs over smaller sealed (kick) enclosures. This will be even more true with the redesign.
