Re: Whining - whining, Whining, WHINING! UGH!
Are you going to redo grounding, now that you know how to cause different potential ground loops ?
Re: Whining - whining, Whining, WHINING! UGH!
When you unplug the RCAs, are you only doing it at the amp end, or have you tried unplugging it from the headunit directly?
Re: Whining - whining, Whining, WHINING! UGH!
If you go to Navone`s site you can find a band-aid or you could attack the problem and not the symptoms.
Redo all grounds or have em done by a vehicle electrical shop, etc..,

It has all been done from start to finish by my professional MECP-certified installer who has owned his own shop for many years. I help. He mostly does it while I keep him company and hand him tools and such. lol

Have done it at all points, and all RCAs are routed opposite side of the vehicle from power/ground. And using twisted Stinger RCAs.

That's why I think it is from the headunit, honestly.

This^^
I hate factory harnesses, get your power and ground elsewhere, use a relay turned on by the factory harness to completely isolate the head unit.

Not using any of the processing, just the touchscreen and preouts. A new deck is a possibility, but anything comparable is north of $500. At least.
Best bet, I guess, would be a new head unit ?
The whine & hiss may go away .

It is very possible... but annoying as f00k to have to drop that kind of yeatus on one. Was just about to buy a new Ohio Generator alt for the 370...
