'61 ragtop Impala Build.....
Hello CAJ fam!!! I am a noob trying to build a good sounding system in my 1961 Impala.....
Here are the components I have now...
Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD (can't stand it)

Audison Voce AV5.1K amp

Audison Voce AV6.5'' mids

Audison Voce AV1.1 tweets

Two JL Audio 10TW3 subs in a sealed down firing enclosure

All Knukonceptz wire
Plans are to eliminate the deck by adding an Audison bit Ten D and the Mosconi Amas-2 Bluetooth adapter to the optical input on the bit Ten D or some other sort of bluetooth so I can run it off of my iphone6.

Re: '61 ragtop Impala Build.....
The "floor" will have. Hatch style door on it to access the air ride and storage. The amp rack lower air ride compartment and enclosure will be coated in black truck bed liner to protect it and clean up the look of it as well. The tank and air compressor bodies will be painted gloss black.
I plans to add side trim panels wig inserts and one across the back wall with the amp visible and flush to it. It will hopefully be merged at the top to curve it up to the edge of the rear trunk opening. It will all be wrapped in black vinyl.
Here ar some pics of the actual car.....

A little update, the stereo is coming back out for some changes before I finish off the trim panels....
My air ride is all getting hard lined in stainless, I am adding a bit ten D, and rebuilding the box. I have decided to go with a ported downfired box for the 10tw3's.
I will post up when I actually get some of this done...

I sold my 69 stang to a friend a few months back. I just texted him a pic of your car and told him to copy the look. Love it!

Indeed, that's a mean stance on that thing........this thread needed a resurrection! Where does the audio stand now?

I currently have it all ripped out as I am redoing it lol. I redid all the air ride and just finished that part. Now I am starting on all the audio and trim panels again.

I did some wrapping of the air ride area, powder coated the tank, polished all the stainless steel lines and fittings and sound deadened the whole trunk area.
Next up is to rebuild a ported box from a custom design JL Audio made for me for the 2 10TW3's.
Then build the panels as well as add the bit Ten D and Mosconi Armas2 Bluetooth module to it. I also got the bit in for the av5.1k.
Working out of my garage as a hobbyist and kinda with a curfew as I live in a townhouse limits when and how long I can work on it with power tools so it's been a slow go lol.

Thanks!! It was a lot of work smoothing and hand polishing!! Lol I was going to put a solid lid over it but now after all that work and how it turned out I am contemplating a way to show it off at shows.
