Howdy from an old-timer
Hello everyone, I am Jon. was a longtime member at diyma till I got banned in 08 or 09 for speaking out against Ant. I dont post a ton, just do some reading and attempt to learn a bit here and there. Most of the forums I go by dejo, so some may be aquainted

Apparently the oatmeal business isn't the cash cow he had hoped. Can't imagine why not...

He banned me out of the blue for starting this forum...or at least that's the theory. He refuses to tell anybody why I got a permanent vacation, staff included. Bottom line, I don't see him trying to contact me for anything business related.

Re: Howdy from an old-timer
Welcome aboard Jon! Many of us are "old timers" from DIYMA and elsewhere as well. I started back on the old Sound Domain forums many, many years ago...

Re: Howdy from an old-timer
Nice to see you over here Jon. I actually meant to call you a couple weeks ago to tell you about this place. Hope you and the family are going good.

Re: Howdy from an old-timer
HBSQ, I got the old chevy truck back from my father for the kids to wheel around in. just got finished putting an alpine sws15 in that same old box that was in there back in way back when. woofer actually seems decent. just have 4"s in the dash for now, so its a fight to get it to "blend" for lack of a better word, as that just isnt going to happen right with the descrepancy

Re: Howdy from an old-timer
Jon if you're talking about the latest generation of Type-S 15 that's a great sub for sq. I ran one for a short time and am going to attempt to do a clean console install with it in the near future. To my ears it's a straight up sq sub. Glad that old truck is still in the family. It tripped me out when you had that 12" d9 in there rearfiring. Just think what would of happened if it would have had a couple kw on it :eviltonge:I might get with you one day in the near future about hanging out for a day. Maybe get with the OKC guys for an old fashioned essque meet...more like a family reunion if you will. I miss the guys west of here.

Re: Howdy from an old-timer
We are planning on a G2G at Todd's house in the spring.
-
Re: Howdy from an old-timer
Count me in man. Let's try to get the old timer out of hibernation too.
-
Re: Howdy from an old-timer
I bet we can get him to come up for it. Should be a nice turnout. I think Chad and the Houston crew are going to make it. As well as Dean and Rick from Austin. The DFW guys will make it and Hugo from San Antonio. Plus the 15-20 Oklahoma group. So, yeah, it'd be a good one to knock the rust off for Jon.

Re: Howdy from an old-timer
keep me up to date on when and where, would love to come up there again. had a blast at your comp at the shop
-
Re: Howdy from an old-timer
Post up a thread. I would like to attend mid-western GTG...assuming money and time worked out.
-
Re: Howdy from an old-timer
I'd like to make that as well.
Nice to see you here, Dejo!
-
Re: Howdy from an old-timer
thanks Erin, would love to meet you in person as well
-
Re: Howdy from an old-timer
If most of the deep south makes it to OKC it would be the g2g to beat all g2g's in attendance. As of now Erin has the most out of all the ones I've been to with 40ish at one time iirc. :threadjack:
