Forgot to mention that I do not have Le for the JL so that is why it does not taper off with frequency like the others. JL doesn't give that specification unless you ask for it.
Thanks for modeling this for me. I was wondering why the JL kinda pooped out in the 50--> 100Hz range. But, it appears it just runs out of useful cone excursion.
While you are at it could you model a 2 cu/ft enclosure? I'd like to see what happens to driver response in a larger air volume. I would expect to see the peaks at 50--> 100 Hz come down.
BTW: I received a package in the mail today

Well I made a mistake on the JL TW3 because I had it wired wrong in the program. Here is the corrected graphs .8 cu ft sealed for all three. All three are wired parallel. I also thew an educated guess at the JL TW3 inductance number so it looks better on the graphs.

Here they are sealed again but with 2 cu ft volume. Both the Sundown subs run out of excursion in a box this large with 500 watts.

Here is the single JL vs two SD4-10 both 2 cu ft sealed on 500 watts. JL TW3 (red) vs 2x SD4 10 (blue)

Again, thanks. Get hella output from dual SD4's down below 100Hz and a nice steep roll off after that.
Does your model assume each SD4 would receive 500W each?

I was going to say the same thing - the software is just showing 500 on a single, and 500 (250 each) on the pair - you can tell because it's basically only a 3dB gain.
Mentally slide that whole blue curve 3dB higher and you've got the "500 each" pair. That's all that will change.

Ge0,
Bassbox Pro cannot model one configuration with say 1000 watts and the other with say 500 watts within the same graph. Its a limitation of the program, however here is what two SD4-10 look like on 1000 watts sealedin 2 cu ft.
Attachment 10774Attachment 10775
Here is that JL TW3 sealed at .8 cu ft vs ported at 1 cu ft with an fb of 32 Hz. As you can see, low end extension is much better with ported and within the passband of 30-80 Hz, excursion is also kept in check. When used in conjunction with a DSP to remove cabin gain, a ported configuration makes for one hell of a good high fidelity sub stage and gives you better SPL with less power.

It is a limitation of Bassbox Pro to not be able to model two together with different power figures in the same graph but I can tell you what the SPL would be separately at say 35 Hz for example. So a single SD4-10 on 500 Watts will put out 104.9 db. Two on 500 watts would put out 108.5 db, and two on 1000 watts would put out 111.5 db. So that works out to an increase of 3.6 db and 6.6 db respectively.

I am working on getting one of these into a very slim space behind my supercrew rear seat. Nice power handling and...the price...plus I have used Dayton many times and they are as good as many others that cost far more....I mean...100 bucks EACH.
