So a thing happened after testing the u69v2 with no crossover on the bottom end... see attached freq measurement... a set of satori WO24p-4 are on there way to me, I am thinking of going subless with the two 9.5” woofers, one under each seat in IB configuration, I also have some micro precision 5 series 80mm midrange on there way to me to try in the car with some adaptor rings in the 5” pods 😎
Developments... I have always had a lot of feedback through the floor and seat, so I wanted to know that if I’m going to upgrade my midbass drivers to IB satori 9.5” woofers... with the potential of going subless :)
my midbass initially had a 64mm round hole with hydrophobic moisture guard type foam over them... plus a small cut out of the floor, so I figured if I’m gonna do bigger I needed to see if I could rid myself of the feedback
so I did what every person should... cut, cut, cut... approx 12cm square which is roughly 75% of the hybrid 6x9’s sd
the difference is amazing, I’ve been listening to the car as much as the drivers previously
the results of this test means the satori 9.5” steel rings will be ordered and welded in
in other news I also have 15m rather lovely van damme silver series lo cap 55 and furutech copy locking rca plugs ready for when the boot is done and dusted and I know what lengths and runs I’ll need

I wanted to build custom RCAs with Furutech Connectors for one of my previous systems,...well, price for them all was like 1800 USD.....
With those 10" you should be good subless
I'm running those Satori's in aperiodic boxes in my doors and they sound awesome. I never measured or thought about running subless though as I have an IB 15" in the back already, and I have a feeling that running aperiodic might roll that bass off a little earlier. But for mid-bass I am very very happy with these woofers. It will be interesting to hear how they work IB.
Are you saying you only have 5" (12.5 cm) square hole to vent the 6*9's ? How far from the surface of the hold is the cone, is the basket bolted right to the floor ? I remember you talking about the underseat woofs but is there a picture of them in this thread ? I could not find one.
The under seats are floating in a birch ply half box (uses some metal work as the other half) currently as a test and then will be fixed down with steel baffles and made solid as I’ve removed a little structural steel to fit them in, I am aiming to re strengthen this with the addition of some 10mm steel plate and some small sections of 3mm plate to make a small manifold of sorts to contain the back wave and ensure it only exits via places of my choosing ie not into the cabin
a 6x9 has 203sq cm of area so I tried to use a section of chassis and also a smaller 70mm round hole, but it resulted in a big resonance around 160 which carried through the floor and seat, this ruined the midbass, I now have a 12x12cm hole Or bigger to breath through (144cm2 plus the chassis rail so 75%+ of the sd for each driver which is plenty) and has now resulted in very smooth midbass, I just need to swap to the bigger midbass and have a go at IB subless with a bigger driver to make it a bit more effortless
