Yes. And yes. I mean, why not. Own it, as you say.
Eh, that does not look like LED swap damage to me :D
Figured I should come here and look.....
Ouch :(
Good news! The mc amp has been repaired and is shipping back to me today! All the caps have been replaced, and then all sorts of other parts as well. I asked what they thought may have lead to the failure and was told it was just old caps. They leaked out and (insert technical stuff here) resulting in the amp to short and die a quick death. Repair costs was right around what I mentioned earlier once shipping is accounted for so no blindsides there.
The guy I spoke with from George Meyer said they put it on their wall yesterday for testing purposes and it sounded so good they wanted to keep it. He said it sounds incredible. They even had a customer in the shop ask about buying it yesterday when he heard it and couldn't believe it was a 'car amp'. They offered to pass my info along but I declined. That amp is mine, dangit!
Oh, and they also commented how nice the LED upgrade looked. True story, bro. :)
Glad everything worked out allright for ya Erin! Also glad it's gonna be in time for the meet.....looking forward to a listen......
Dang right. I'm pumped and I'm gonna brag!
