Android or app based equalizer
I am wondering if anyone knows of an app-based eq that can be used with a music app. The ones I found that are 10 bands have a music player built in and dont work with outside music apps. I found a 5 band one that works good with Iheart. Im not too savvy on this stuff, so any help would be appreciated.

Try out Mixzing. It's the best android music player I've found yet.

I think what you're talking about *might* require rooting your phone.

Re: Android or app based equalizer
By *far*, the best Android "EQ" app is an app called Viper4Android (aka "V4A"). Not only does it have a fantastic system-wide, 10-band EQ, but it also has tons of other cool sound-enhancement features and tuning tools.
However, it's not a simple app install and I you need to root your phone.
The only thing that it does NOT work with is Android Auto, because Android Auto sends audio through the USB port, which is a digital format.
