I don't know if you can implement these, but I do know they are available on other forums.

1. a "my threads" button in the FORUM submenu. next to the NEW POSTS link. pressing this button would populate a list of every thread that the logged in user has posted in, been mentioned in, or thumbs-upped in.

2. a tagging system. putting an '@' symbol in the body of text would flag a username. when a person types the username next to the epinota like this @R4N63R. it would turn bold and be a link to that user, as well as sending them a notification like the bat-symbol calling their attention. it seems that there is a mention system as there is a 'mentioned' statistic under my username on the left, but I don't know how it works :D

it looks like the @ thing does work. the reason why I didn't think it worked is because the user I was trying to mention has a space in his username. how do I mention that user?

Go to the upper right and click "My profile". The tabs under 'my activity' will allow you to see posts in threads that you've participated in, posts that people on your friends list has made , and your subscriptions.

I'll have to check on the mentions problem
 
I know there is a feature to dig around in the submenus of my profile, but the button on the main submenu is what I use to keep track of all the posts. just hitting 'my threads' shows me quickly all the threads ive posted in but not subscribed to without doing any work at all lol.

Yep, it worked. There is an option to add a semicolon at the end of a username to signify its end, it's useful for people with spaces or emails for usernames. Should I enable it?

I think it was because I copy and pasted the screen name from your profile instead of typing it. Do you have a forum that does the 'my threads' like you want? If I had an example, I might can figure out how they did it.
 
I added a 'My Threads' tab up top which searches for threads started by you. I still haven't figured out how to have it pull up threads that you've simply posted in...but I'm working on it.

I tried that, but every time I tried to copy the link, it kept inserting my personal profile (BigAl205) activity. I need to figure out how to link it with a wild card which will link to the user's profile. After all, we all know that clicking a button on the menu bar is a whole lot easier than clicking the 'profile' button :neener:
 
I also set it up to where you tag a person by putting an @ at the beginning and ; at the end of the username. This will allow you to tag somebody with a space or @ sign in their username.

Example: @R4N63R; and [MENTION=441]Butt Hz[/MENTION];
 
@BigAl205; I see the MY THREADS link. cool beans you're the man! you didn't have to put it in the top menu :p. I couldn't find it at first because I was looking for it on the line with NEW POSTS and PRIVATE MESSAGES or under the QUICK LINKS drop down haha! I am enthralled that you are even replying (as an administrator) and attempting to make changes to add features. that shit blows my mind compared to other places haha :)

next question. how do you tag someone in a thread? I see under 'mentions' to the left there is a 'tagged'. what does that mean?

oh yeah, it may make sense to add some more fields in the profile for links to things like facebook, reddit, instagram and so on. I feel like ICQ and AIM are a bit outdated LOL.
