Love this thread! I've seen cars with Scotch tape holding wire connections before (not even crimped). "Face palm" doesn't do it justice............. People are stoopid. Sorry to sound blunt, but it's true. I once had an Expedition on the rack and noticed that their run of 4ga went from the battery, to the door jamb and then was held beside the frame rails with zip ties until it made it's way back inside the rear with a rather crewdly drilled hole (no grommet of course). I look back on my work when I was first getting started in car audio and have to say this this thread makes me look like a genius, even then.

On a good note that run is probably going to a "4000 watt" amp that might do 300 on a good day.
I'm good with that. Now had they only used 4 zip ties I'd be worried about it
This was a relay for some airbag load levelers. The corroded parts are what used to be the relay post. They're gone. It was mounted to the frame rail under the truck. Dafuq is wrong with people.
A stealership tried to install this themselves.

Gonna take a guess.... You would be on the stage? Fail regardless.
. The red wire on the right is after I soldered the new remote start power wire. That was after removing two t taps off of it.

I won't even use trailer wire taps on a trailer. I've seen and tracked way too many wiring issues down to those things. People who use them should have their nuts kicked. My way might take extra wire and effort but I bet you don't have to touch it again unless a light goes out (for real).

Unmounted Amps and loose strands, I can smell the barbecued car mats already. I will at least given them credit for using a spade terminal...on the remote wire.
I took these out of a 68 Camaro. Nothing really shameful about the set up because it was high end when put in. Still works too.
Is the car 4 sale ?

Damn, that truck with the wires everywhere in the drivers footwell...That's a frigging death trap. Get your foot caught up in some wiring while trying to exit the freeway? Dayum!
