Sorry, I meant to reply the other night. I'm still trying to find a solution to this, but no luck so far. There are a couple of things not working right.

Looks like I'm gonna have to do some trial and error, but I'd rather wait and do it late at night. As many of you know, I work nights, but I should be able to mess with it this weekend.

It seems that I've got the search fixed. Let me know if you're still having issues.

We're also having a rash of duplicate posts. It's an intermittent problem and hard to nail down. If, after hitting the reply button, you get a message to leave the page or stay, click the "leave button" and you shouldn't get a dupe. I know it's a band-aid fix, but it's all I've got for now.

I'm having trouble when posting from the quick reply box at the bottom of the page. It will take forever to load and when it posts it will have my post and then a line that says updated then my post again. It will probably do it with this post so I will leave it as is.

The reason the forum was laggy all weekend was because one of the drives in the RAID array went out. The hosting company quickly replaced it, but it took over a day for the new drive to copy the image data over and it took a lot of the bandwidth as well. Hopefully the failing drive is what has been causing some of the problems, but it will take a few days to tell. Thanks for your patience.

I have a story about my first experience with testing a RAID array for failure and a bottle of booze...

Let's just say it takes a while. WOAH.

So wait, you have an actual physical server all to yourself? They still do that? Thought everyone has gone to virtual by now.

Well even to go virtual you do have to have physical hardware on the ground. Also Hurrah for RAID, it may cause performance issues when a drive dies but at least the system can keep running.

Yeah, but in a virtual environment one hard drive failure would not bring down a single server. Not when you have 20+.
