Next POSSIBLE victim....

Yup! 10W0-4 bought it a LONG time ago, this one has no cone sag and is in great shape sans the foam rot.

got its bra off.... Foam should be here tomorrow.

Bummer is that tomorrow night I have to spend my time in a hot, itchy attic.. That is not mine.

Looks like a great first truck for the boy. Tough as nails and slow as molasses. I recently replaced the front speakers in my dad's 02 Silverado and they didn't have very much foam left in them. He destroyed them with all the soul and r&b he listens to. The bottom of the barrel Sony coaxials sound pretty damn good in there running off an old Eclipse 3414 that has buttons that only work when they want to. Poor headunit is caving with age:(I'd put a pair of Morel or GZ coaxials in the front doors and call it good:)

I believe my father in law just listened to ta radio, so I have the tendency to sway that they simply destroy themselves.

yup, I took an old-ass turntable with a wicked-solid bearing and a heavy platter, cut the spindle off, and I use it for gluing.

Then after I got it in I was like "Hmmm, something seems missing. Keep in mind that I rarely looked at this thing, or was attentive to it for that matter. And I was piss-drunk/cross-eyed and it was dark when I removed it.

Oh yeah! The beat up grill!

So I scuffed it up with a green itchy pad, straightened it as best as possible via fingers, and now it is drying on my rednek paint-booth, AKA the burn barrel.

Dunno about productive in a sense of I tend to "start projects."

LOL got it on last night.....

I think I had the wrong cover on the paint can, I thought I was spraying flat black :D

I think I'm going to take a break for a bit and gather parts SLOWLY. As if this was not slow enough.

A member is checking into an amp for me that would be perfect and I have decided that I need window tint and a hitch much worse.

Was tinkering around last night and popped he hood to check the fluids... Then realized that the fuse box under the hood came apart VERY easily.... Well by now you should know where that immediately leads me.

I know this does not fit the mold for many here but my installs are VERY simple and utilitarian... I was pretty stoked to find a fully wired blank fuse slot with a dummy fuse in it labeled "B+" and wouldn't you know, it leads to a bigass lug in the box with a nut already on it, just waiting for me. The harness loom has plenty of room in it for wire also...

Dunno why, but I'm pretty stoked about that.
