Fixing Photobucket woes

I'm thinking about giving everybody the ability to edit their threads beyond the 24-hour window so they can go in and remove dead Photobucket links and link to some other site. How long do you guy think I should leave stuff editable? 1-2 weeks? Give me your thoughts or ideas.

I like it.... I never used photophukup but sometimes I find better photos for certain posts that I wish I could go and update. 1-2 weeks sounds good

Yea, 2 weeks should suffice. There's quite a few folks who probably don't visit regularly enough to catch it within a few days.

I've totally been in the dark what happened? I'm working on a PB exodus and the only albums I was planning to keep were ones that had to do with build logs.....

Woah, FOUR HUNDRED dollars per year....

I guess they really want out of this eh? The reason I decided to leave is because it was/is painfully slow with a horrible interface. This takes the cake!

I need to work on google getting to do this, IIRC it's tedious.

But that was a long time ago.

I don't know if I have any photobucket stuff on here, I thought I just direct loaded all my pics
If you right click your image you can copy the link address and see if it's linking to photobucket or not. I've got quite a few to fix :daniel:

Once I get internet setup at the new house I'm going to look at setting up a amazon aws instance to host images :D

I HATE PHOTOBUCKET!!!! The reason there is NO build log on DiYMA is because of the mandatory use of an internet photosharing site.
The fact that you allow me to use my photos from my computer is 100% the greatest thing!

Luckily I haven't moved my log from DIYMA to here so that helps but I have 15+ pages on DIYMA and 30+ or so pages that show the entire journey on another forum. It would take just too long to try and fix things and move things off photobucket into another site. I have A LOT of pics stored on photobucket. To bad dropbox doesn't work well with most places as I'm already paying into that for a storage.

Done, If I have to click on a pic of a road sign, car, or road again this week to prove I'm not a robot I'm gonna burn the mafugga to the ground.

well my image did not upload, basically said that plus users are grandfathered in till it expires then you are screwed. I canceled my paid subscription after I pulled most everything off.

JayinMI brought this up in a Diyma thread, but if you're using Chrome, install an extension called Photobucket Hotlink Fix by Bridgetroll. It will allow you to view the PB images that would otherwise just show dead links. I've installed it and it works perfectly...at least for now. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-hotlink-fix/kegnjbncdcliihbemealioapbifiaedg

There's also a plugin for Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fi...embedded-fix/?src=ss&hotlinkfix=1505323029505

Thanks, Jay!
