Love the IB idea! If it were my car I'd consider magnets facing in the cabin since it looks like the IDMAX might be a touch too tall for the opening? Either way this is going to be great!!!
 
That might not be a bad idea actually... Could try to incorporate the package shelf into the baffle so that all sound travels up through those openings, and also towards the rear seat.

Hmmmm... I'll mess around with that option today and see how it looks. See, that's why we all love this site!!!

Whoa, I'll definitely keep those in mind. Started on the baffle this weekend. Still not sure exactly how I'd like the subs to sit far as recessed, flat, tilted, etc... But figured it's easier to start with something than nothing at all. Need to get them in so amp placement and wiring can be sorted out.

ID8 number two has arrived. Time to look at enclosure volume available under the seats, or maybe in the kick panels.

Scored a hood from a Cobra that happened to be painted the same color. Now it's quite obvious how bad shape the rest of the car's paint is. And the interior definitely needs updating. Still not sure what direction to go with that, but pulling most of it for the audio upgrades should help.

Also does great in about 1.2 tuned to 30. Filled the cabin of my Grand Cherokee nicely when I ran that setup. I was going for the lower extension since I had GS690's in really dead doors.
