It's looking good Al. I know you're ready to see it finished.
I will when he picks up his construction trailer tomorrow. How about a shot from the street with the house and garage fronts in the picture?
Looks great!
It even matches the house. It's as if I had planned it that way
I could have gotten the trusses with the structured loft, or I could have just built a whole second floor, but I didn't have the monies.damn, you totally had space for a room above didn't you?
Yeah, if I had it to do over, I would have done 4' of block around the entire perimeter. I was trying to follow the lay of the land by stepping it down on the left, but it ended up being a PITA when it came to backfilling. Since it sloped away on the right side, I didn't put any block on the front corner, so it kinda looks lopsided. Hopefully, some landscaping will cover up most of the blemishes.looks great, but there's just one little thing...
on the right side of the garage door entrance, the lip of the concrete is visible for a couple feet, where everywhere else the limestone hides the edge. And if that's all I got, then you got a pretty bulletproof structure going on there, Al...
and if you can accept that, then you surely can accept a career criminal's advice, haha...
congrats on the new improvements, you did good.

I couldn't afford the SawStop. That is awesome! Mind if I ask what led you to choosing that Delta saw?
