2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Black Edition

Had to get some new shoes for the Ram already. The rear tires were about completely bald right in the middle, just a 2" bald strip. Not sure what happened. Tire shop said over inflation, but they were at 40psi when we bought the truck, I kept them at 36psi. Didn't seem over inflated to me, especially since the front tires were still completely fine. Oh well. These new tires grip WAY better. Seem to ride a tiny bit better too. Went from 285/45R22 to 305/45R22. Looks much meaner on there:

Not much to offer audio wise though. Pulled the SB tweeters from the dash and swapped in some Fountek FE85 3" speakers. They sound ok. Not great, not terrible. Just something for listening while I play around with new ideas. Have the SB12NRX25-4 that could be added along with the NVX speakers since they seem to be minorly tweaked SB Acoustics pieces. Looks like they could work along with the SB29/XSPTW tweeter:

Also played around with a set of Xtant/Morel 4" just to see if a point source or coax would be a better option:

Neither one seem to impede vision a whole lot.

I really like the layout of the NVX/SB pieces. Seems like that could be a really great sounding option. Hooked up those SB12NRX25-4 for a very brief time, and they sounded amazing. Something similar to those Xtant/Morel would probably make for an easier installation though. Decisions, decisions.

Two words... convertible truck.

That be the one! Just the basic Sport, but has the premium stuff to make it more a Sport S, plus both the hard and soft tops, bed cover, spray in bedliner, etc. Perfect platform to start with and build upon.
