2018 Chevy Silverado Z-71 by Audio-X

I'm Looking forward to hearing your truck. I'm thinking of going the "Big AB Amp" switch in the future. I have tuned my car a thousand different ways and it always sounds the same or similar in the end. I think that is the definition of insanity by the way. I don't want to start a debate between digital and analog, but i think that will resolve most of my issues.

Congrats on the finish !

Because of your recent post I read this thread.

I was curious on the Joying install - can you show some pictures of it ? I take it that plastic piece is stock and you were modifying it to fit - ie it doesn't come with any Silverado specific install pieces, its generic ?

But more importantly, doesn't the stock H/U control the truck's settings ? Obviulsy the NAV and music would come from the Joying now, but the one thing the stock unit has a bunch of setup for headlight delay, door lock behavior etc. Have you now lost the ability to control those settings ? Do they just remain where they were when you set them after you remove the stock head unit ? I assume you no longer get door chimes, parking sensor chimes ?

Do you mind explaining how that worked out and if you have any photos of the Joying install ?

I have a Joying in my car and I love it, but never considered it would work in my 2015 GMC Sierra because of the stuff I listed above. Would love to hear your thoughts on it.

In case anyone wanted to see the difference between the Elate Titanium MW9 and the Elate Carbon Pro MW9
